Why Hunt
Texas?
Texas
is one of only four states that have javelinas, otherwise known as the
collared peccary. Of these states, Texas, by far has the highest numbers,
very affordable hunting licenses, and the longest seasons. Some counties
are open year-round.

Why Hunt With Us?
We
have hunted them for years in West Texas and have guided many trophy pigs
with 100% success on all javelina hunts. Our ranches are very large and
are home to many javelinas. By harvesting a small amount of javelinas per
year we are able to maintain a good population of adult hogs, most of
which have large tusks.

Hunting Methods
The
most effective method is to drive via a 4WD vehicle around the ranch and stopping frequently to glass for
javelinas. Still hunting and watching
watering holes in the hot summer are also very successful methods of hunting
and stand hunting is also very effective! Once they are located, hunter
and guide can often approach within 50 yards.
