Special Equipment |
|
|
Hunters
should wear dark colored clothing for night hunting, and full camo for
daytime calling. Recommended guns are 12 gauge shotguns with modified chokes
and magnum loads of copper plated #2 shot. Small caliber rifles such as
.223 or 22-250 are excellent choices. Scopes of 4 or 6 power are great.
Rifles should be sighted in for dead on at 100 yards. Bring a small flashlight,
and your hunting license.

“Thank you for a great predator and blackbuck
hunt. I truly enjoyed my stay with you. You have a beautiful
facility. Although the weather did not cooperate on my predator hunt, Jim's excellent guiding
and predator calling ability helped me to bag eleven predators during my hunt.
I had a great time and learned a lot
about predator calling. I am planning on another predator hunt next
year. I would have no hesitation in recommending Magnum Guide Service to
my friends. Everything was as advertised and more. Having recently
finished a hunt with another outfitter where things were not as advertised, I
was especially pleased. I sent a good report on my hunt to The Hunting
Report. Again, thank you for a great time.”
Tery Terry, Albuquerque, NM
“Wow…what a great time. If you have not booked a nighttime predator hunt with Magnum Guide Service you better get on the ball and book it now. The accommodations were superb, the meals were excellent and “large”.
Melony is a fine cook and don’t let Jim tell you he cooked it! Everything was super but the hunting was still the best part. Jim is really excited about the hunt and he really works hard for his clients. He took extra special care of my wife helping her through the excitement with patience and expertise. We were not sure what to expect but what we got was way beyond our highest expectations. This is a trip that should be booked today and then rebooked again and again.”
Bill & Glenna Donahue, Pueblo West, CO
“Doug and I had a great
time with Magnum. Our hunt for
javelina and predators was great and very successful.
Your home is beautiful, your equipment is top notch and guides are fun
and very knowledgeable. I’m sure
we will be hunting together again in the near future.
One of my next hunts will be brown bear in Alaska, but I may have to try
for one of those big whitetails I saw while hunting pigs.
I would like to thank Jim, Melony (great cook), Koby and J.P. for one
hell of a hunt!”
Dave Henry, Spring Grove, PA
"I
wanted to thank you folks again for my third straight season of great hunting
experiences. As always the food, accommodations, guiding and above all the
hunting were top-notch, and your hospitality and camaraderie made them doubly
enjoyable. The hard work and care you put into your outfit really shows
and you can count on me coming back next season. Until then, have a safe
and happy 2003!"
Peter Schorn, Ft. Worth, TX
