Wyoming
Hunting
|
Wyoming
has a variety of big game animals to hunt including elk, mule deer,
antelope, moose, mountain goat, and big horn sheep. While hunters
must contend with a statewide drawing for licenses, those who are
successful can often hunt more than one species at the same time. |

“Here are the pictures from our elk hunt. I’m still thinking about the stalk; from the ditch to crawling through sage brush, to going to the bottom of the drainage, and getting within 40 yards. Then waiting, as it’s getting darker, for the bull to be clear and finally, taking the shot, after 3 hours. I had a great time!”

“I would like to express my appreciation on the guided hunt I just experienced in Wyoming. Although this being my first archery elk hunt, I felt we had top notch accommodations, service, guides and especially the food. Gerald is one of the best cooks I have had the privilege of enjoying, he is so accommodating and just a good guy. Gary was my guide and he worked hard to find those bulls. As you know, the weather was warm, the elk were herded up and they were not coming into the cow calls but we worked hard and figured out their patterns. By the end of the week I got my opportunity and that’s all anyone could ask for. We won’t go into the results however! I know I called you in the spring and was skeptical about the price but once I was there I understood that you get what you pay for and the only regret I had about the whole trip was at the end of the hunt, we had to leave. Once again, thank you for a great hunt and like Gary said, I’m ruined. I can’t get elk hunting out of my mind.”
