Hunter
Expectations
|
Hunters can expect to
be treated well, hunted hard, good food, warm lodge, excellent hunting
equipment, experienced staff, and a feeling of camaraderie amongst the
camp. You should see large numbers of elk and a good number of
deer. Only a few antelope reside on the ranch. The bull elk
that have been harvested over the past few years typically are 6x6's
scoring up to 355 B&C and we have been 100%
successful. Most of the deer are 5x5's with spreads up to 29 inches.

Hunting Methods
|
|
We
leave the lodge after a hearty breakfast and ascend to strategic vantage
points around the ranch by first light to begin glassing for game.
Once spotted, we generally stalk closer on foot.

Weather
Conditions
|
The weather is
always unpredictable in October. Sunshine for a few days followed
by a couple days of light snow. Temperatures range from 25-50
degrees. Snow showers may blanket the mountain with 2 to 12 inches
of fresh powder making for easy tracking and spotting of game.

Travel Tips
|
|
Secure your airline tickets at least 8 weeks in advance of your travel dates. Hunters should plan to arrive the afternoon before the first day of their hunt and depart mid-morning following the last day of their hunt. Any unscheduled trips to Worland are $200.00 per trip. Travel with a soft duffel bag, a hard gun case, and use your day pack as your carry-on luggage. Meat processing and taxidermy is available. |

"Enclosed
are the pictures from our Wyoming muledeer hunt I said I would send to
you. I'm still on cloud nine over the hunt and can't thank you enough for
the memories."
